The Cult of NatureBoy traces the rise and fall of Eligio Bishop, aka NatureBoy, leader of Carbon Nation. Beginning in 2016, Bishop used social media to attract young people, urging them to leave their families to pursue his vision of a self-described “Black Utopia.” What began as an alternative lifestyle in the tropics evolved into what became known as a sex cult, marked by violence, manipulation, and sexual coercion, ending with Bishop’s 2024 trial and life sentence.
